When we worked on the search algorithm for our writing app, Nota, we made some exciting breakthroughs. We came up with this fast and powerful algorithm and we started to see opportunities to use it outside of Nota. One of these opportunities was browser history.

We started experimenting with the idea. The first prototype was super basic but we still found that we use it a lot. It turned out that a lot of the web pages we visit are pages we've visited before and that a powerful search for browser history that has a fallback to a google search can work as a replacement of the address bar in the browser.

After several months of using and iterating on the app, it became an essential part of our workflow. This motivated us to release it as a product. Hopefully, other people will also find it useful.
